Fixafone NI Ltd Terms and Conditions of our sale to you please read carefully as this is about the service of your
repair or unlock or sale of any unit.
Fixafone NI Ltd reserve the right to change this document at any time without notice to anyone.
Us, we, our, the company or staff, are known as Fixafone NI Ltd with HQ at Units 51-54 Cido Industrial Complex,
Carn Industrial Estate, Craigavon BT63 5WH Company registration number: NI070219
You, customer, user, end user, will be known as the customer with the proof of purchase registered by us as the
customer who paid us for a service or goods.
1 Abuse will not be tolerated to any member of staff, if you are abusive in any way, we will desist from working on
your phone and give it back to you in whatever condition we have left it in. If the unit is partially worked on, you
will need to find another engineer from another company to complete it for you, but we will not be able to do any
more business with you from that moment onwards. Any abuse is noted as anti-social or criminal behaviour, and
this is prosecutable by law.
2.If you require an unlock but fail to tell us that the phone is barred you will still be liable for the entire cost of the
service. The phone will be unlocked, but the phone will still be barred by your network provider. Barring is when a
phone is either stolen, lost or has an unpaid contract bill on the network. Unlocking is when the phone is unlocked to
allow the phone to go on any network around the world. (except 3 on certain phones, please check to see if they are
a 3 compatible phone before proceeding as we will not inform you)
3.Your customer receipt and dependant on what you purchased from us the warranty card is proof of ownership, if
you fail to keep this, we cannot help you if you don’t provide first hand evidence that this is your phone, if you fail to
provide us with a quality form of ID the phone will not be presented to you.
4.Our services times can never be exact, however, as a guide we offer this information based on statistics in the
company database over the last 50000 repairs Screen replacement 2-12 days Unlocks 2-14 days keyboard
replacements 5-12 days, console repairs 2-12 days water damage 2-8 days. Please remain patient during this time,
and please note rule our first term in regard to abuse. If we do not get your phone repaired in a reasonable time
period, please call us on 028 38 988087 and we will try to help you as much as we can.
5.The inspection fees are for an engineer’s time to look at your phone this is NON REFUNDABLE please do not ask
for this to be returned as you have to realise we need to be paid to attempt to repair your phone, this will only cover
the basic amount of work, and provide you with a more effective quotation after looking at your fault or faults in their
entirety.
6.If the phone is Beyond Economic Repair or unrepairable, we will give you your phone back in its original state,
however if you fail to collect the phone within 30 days of our giving first notice to you, the phone will be destroyed
and recycled within our discretion, we may break it down and use it for parts to recover our costs of long term
storage, if you fail to collect this unit on time you will not be entitled to a replacement phone, or any money back after
28 days of being notified. There may be an extra charges if we believe the 10 pounds engineer fee does not cover
the work involved and you fail to pick up the phone, we reserve the right to send you the bill for the inspection or to
cover any failure in collection of your unit.
7. In accordance with Torts Act 1977, should your repaired item not be collected from our premises within 30 days,
then Fixafone NI Ltd has the right to dispose of said item by any means necessary in order to reclaim costs.
8.You will receive a text to tell you that your phone is complete, if you provided us with a valid mobile telephone
number, we will not attempt to write to you, if you provide us with an incorrect number, we cannot be liable for the
losses incurred after the 28 day time-out period. We will attempt to call you before we try to sell the phone to recover
our costs of repairing your phone, Texting is a lot easier for us and prevents more costs to you. If we text you and
you provide us with the wrong number, we keep a log of who we text, it is used as evidence to prevent us from being
wrong in a case of customers assuming we don’t contact them.
9. If you tell us to repair a specific fault on your phone, without informing us of other faults on the phone, but then
expect the other faults to be repaired for free, we cannot be responsible for these other faults nor will we be able to
help you without charging you for the fault. We will be able to provide technical knowledge to prove that components
being replaced cannot affect other components from going faulty, the chances are the other components were faulty
also.
10.We do not offer phone hardware warranties on unlocks, if the phone is unlocked and then suddenly gets a
hardware fault after the phone has left our premises even though the phone was working when it was with us we will
not accept this as anything other than an attempt for a free repair, phones do not become faulty due to an unlock
after a period of time, if they develop a fault it is normally during the unlocking process in which we offer to replace
your phone within 4 weeks. We will not accept any liability for any phone after it leaves our premises working
correctly to your exact requirements.
11.If you have a courtesy phone that costs £5.00 for hire per repair, and you damage the phone, you will be liable for
the cost of the phone this is normally £25.00 we do not offer over £25.00 value hire phones.
12.Your statutory rights are not affected by our terms and conditions, if you are unsure about these terms please do
not proceed with the repair or unlock.
13. Fixafone NI Ltd offer a twelve (12) month repair only warranty on all mobile phones that are known as refurbished
or second user phones. All new phones purchased will carry their normal manufacturers warranty. The Fixafone
twelve [12] month warranty does not cover any type of User damage, physical damage, water damage, or any
damage caused by unlocking or updating software on a mobile phone. We provide the units with anti-tamper and
anti-swap markings hidden to the users eye, and this is used to prevent fraudulent claims, any fraudulent claim will
be deemed as a criminal effect and will be reported to the authorities. If you issue a fraudulent claim, we will issue
you with an invoice to cover our costs for investigating the fault, you will not receive your mobile phone with the
voided warranty back to your ownership unless you pay us for investigating the fault. NO exceptions will be allowed
over that stated time of 365 days, or twelve months or 52 weeks. After this time is completed and no longer than this
period your warranty will be voided.
14. When making a claim for your warranty, the customer must provide us with proof of ownership with the 2 records
we gave you at the start of the sale, this is 1. Your proof of purchase and 2. Your warranty card, that carries the
dates, times, and any issues that may have been with the 2nd user phone at the time of sale. This would prevent any
claims being made when the phone may have been sold with the condition the customer may be seeking to repair.
15 We do not repair any claims that are already noted on your warranty card.
16 We offer no refunds should an item become faulty during warranty period, this is a repair only warranty and you
must allow a reasonable time frame should the item need repair.
17 Signing a unit in for any warranty repair does not accept liability of that said repair, nor does it mean that we will
repair the unit once signed in, we must establish user damage before proceeding with any repair, if the user damage
is repairable, we will offer the customer an opportunity to accept the repair at a lowered cost than the normal RRP
price, this is approximately 10 percent less than our retail price, You will be informed before going ahead with the
repair.
18 The fault must be noted by the sales technical adviser before proceeding to the sign in stage.
19 All faulty units are repaired at our central location.
20 Any faulty units may be returned to any location as long as it comes with the warranty card and the proof of
purchase, which is the till receipt.
21 If you have altered the phone in any way by fitting a fascia, or damaged the phone and had that phone repaired
elsewhere, we will void the warranty
22 If you have the phone unlocked by anyone else other than Fixafone NI Ltd, it will void your warranty.
23 Any phone or unit that is deemed to be stolen, will not be purchased by our company, we will report you to the
authorities, if found to be attempting to sell us stolen goods.
24 Any unit that may have an existing contract and then remains unpaid and becomes barred from the networks will
be reported to the police for fraud, we will then challenge you in a court to retrieve our monies plus losses and
interest lost from your deception.
25.When purchasing memory for any product, please be very aware that we will not accept credits or exchange
requests for opened memory if you have failed to read the correct type of memory. We are not obliged to ask this at
the point of sale and you will be asked to ensure that before you open the memory please do not open it until you are
sure that you have the correct memory, broken blister packs will not be accepted for return if you fail to get the
incorrect memory for your product.
26. CD’s DVD’s Games software will only be replaced with the same title. If there is currently no stock of that said
title, you must allow up to 14 days for replacement title.
All of the above will only be replaced if found to be faulty. For the protection of copyright theft, we will not offer
credits for any software or videos.
27. All our repairs on phones now carry a 90 day warranty for issues or manufacturer fault on the part itself, but does
not include user damage or neglect, or any failure to inform us of other faults. We are well in our rights to repair only
what you ask us to repair and are willing to pay us to repair for you.
28 If a fault arises out of the phone that is not related to the repair of the phone or the part that has been replaced,
and you believe that our fitting has led to the failure of another part, you may sign the phone back in to be looked at
under our 90 day repair only warranty, however if it has found out to be a fault that in no way relates to the repair we
had completed, we reserve the right to require payment for inspecting the unit and finding another or new fault.
29. Fixafone do not warrant the entire phone should you have a repair or a replacement of 1 part in the phone. We
only warrant the part and the labour involved in the replacement of that stated part.
30. After the phone is installed with our part, you can change your mind, however we will charge you labour fee for
removal of such part, and any non payment for a change of mind will allow us to put a lien on your unit until payment
is made in full to cover our labour costs both part in and part back out.
31. For the information on pixels and the replacement of a phone, or a screen, due to dead pixel or mis-coloured
pixels on your screen, Fixafone only replace a screen on a refurbished phone if it contains more than 3 dead pixels
during its 1 year warranty, this will not include pressure based faults (where you put pressure on the screen causing
pixels to die)
On screen repairs (where you owned the phone and asked us to repair it for you), if the screen develops a pixel fault
within 28 days of the repair, you are entitled to a full replacement of that screen if it develops a fault of 1 or more
dead pixels however after 28 days that will rise to 3 dead pixels or more. Our repair warranty cover the part for 90
days.
32. There may be times, where Fixafone must call you beforehand to discuss price, this may be in its nature due to
the specific cost of parts with your requirements, should you accept our verbal price, you must be aware that our
company will automatically order the parts on your immediate acceptance of the price and therefore, you are no
longer obliged to change your mind once the parts are ordered for your specific unit to repair. We are under no
obligation to remove any parts if you change your mind after you accepted any work quotation.
33. When accepting a price on signing in your phone, you must note that, should you change your mind after the
repair or service has been completed, you will still be charged for the repair.
34. If you order a repair from us specifically, such as a screen, but fail to tell us of other faults in the phone, Fixafone
Ni Ltd reserve the right to make the choice whether to (i.) Continue with the repair (ii.) Just repair your specific part
OR (iii.) Replace all the parts without your notification or acceptance. Fixafone NI Ltd offer no warranty on other parts
on your phone that has not been repaired or replaced by us.
Buying your old electronic goods.
This is a contract between you, the Supplier and ourselves Fixafone NI Ltd the Customer, as you intend to supply us
the phone, you are not covered under the sales of goods act. However as a supplier of goods, you are expected to
remain honest in the selling of your unit to us, and confirm that the property belongs to you on legitimate grounds
and it is not owned by anyone else by contract , loan, or stolen property.
1 You must supply us with proof of purchase should we ask for this
2 You must supply us with legitimate identification with photo identity
3 You must supply us with a proof of address to back up your identity
4 We reserve the right for any reason we deem fit, to refuse to purchase your goods off you.
5 We reserve the right to refuse to give any reason as to why we shall not purchase.
6 Should we find that the unit, that you sold to us, is in any way violating this agreement, we will pursue repayment of
our monies and contact the police and civil offices and press charges for fraudulent activity.
7 We will continue to retrieve our losses through civil action should the police fail to prosecute.

Please note, all unit repair Terms and Conditions are now merged for ease of reading please use this document
for all warranty policies from 23-03-2011 all previous locations of the following terms are now removed from the
website.
Console Purchase Warranty
If you decide to purchase a second user console from us, the warranty is a repair only warranty for 90 days from the
time of purchase, should the unit become faulty during this time, we offer a full repair, or if we cannot repair the fault,
offer you a replacement of an identical unit. If we can no longer source an identical unit, we will offer you a refund or
a part exchange, the management reserve the right to refuse a refund, and will offer you an in store credit note for an
alternative to the original unit you may have owned previously.
You must provide us proof of purchase and ensure that it is the correct unit, as failure to provide us with the Fixafone
stock and replace it with another unit not purchased from us will lead to your warranty being voided.
Warranty on Console repairs
Fixafone services are guaranteed for 1 month or 2 further repairs within that 3 month period unless stated on the
invoice or pre-agreement. Unfortunately due to reoccurring hardware problems, not all consoles are fully repairable
and the same problem may re-occur. In this circumstance, we are willing to repair the same fault as before up to 2
further times of the fault occurring after the initial repair. These subsequent repairs cannot be transferred, or
refunded against should the service fail to produce a correct repair the following times.
To ensure your Xbox or PS3 does not overheat and fail again after repair, please ensure the following measures.
No refunds are given on any post console repair, as the cost of parts and labour have already been installed, and the
fault only lies in the solder of the board, to replace the solder from lead free to a more suitable leaded solder, is not
possible under EU and CE regulations and at times Fixafone or any repair company for that matter, may not find all
hair line solder fractures that may be in the thousands of circuit holes in the motherboard of the unit.
After the repair is done 3 times, you cannot opt for another repair on that particular unit, even if you wish to pay us
for it, it would be wasting your money and our time.
We will however be able to offer you a refurbished console for a 20 % discount due these unforeseen circumstances
these consoles come with a 90 day warranty.
Console solder re-jointing repairs are the only product we repair that carry a 28 day or 3 strike rule, all other repairs
such as PC. Laptop, Hand-held consoles, phones, cameras carry a 90 day repair only and NO Refund post fit
warranty.
Fixafone Reserve the right to charge extra for problems not previously stated by the customer on the repair form. In
this unlikely event, we will inform the customer of the extra charge before repairing the console. If at this point the
customer decides not to continue with the repair, we reserve the right to charge for any labour or ancillary charges
that may have occured in the investigation of further faults.
Please be aware that during the course of repair it is possible that the symptoms may worsen whilst investigating the
fault. If the console cannot be repaired, Fixafone accept no responsibility for this eventuality.
Around 1 in 10 consoles are non-repairable. In these cases the customer will have to pay for all of the postage costs
and or inspection fees.
During the course of repair it may be necessary to clear data stored in your console's memory. Please ensure data is
backed up prior to sending your console in to us as we cannot guarantee data will be retained.
Please note that any console still within it's manufacturers warranty will be void after Fixafone Ni Ltd have opened
the system for our repairs.
Our Terms and Conditions may be changed regularly, please always check your conditions of our sale or service
prior to accepting our terms.
Our Chargers and Accessories warranties
All our chargers and accessories sold to you, come with a full 1 year manufacturers warranty, which is exchangeable
with like for like product swap, we offer no money back, nor exchange in upgrade for an alternative or better unit.
This is based only on a reasonable usage policy. If the returned unit is abused or damaged other than its natural
usage markings which may be small scratches or very minor wear and tear, then the product warranty is void, we will
not accept replacement requests on any other fault caused by misuse of the product.
We operate a reasonable and professional level in all requests made for units bought from our stores, however all
requests are treated on a fair and equal basis as long as the user has not abused the purchased item.
We do request that, should you require a replacement we will need to ensure that there is a proof of purchase on all
units, however if you fail to produce this, we must ask the you provide other evidence that the unit was bought from
our company before we can proceed with your request.
